“When the time is right, I the Lord, will make it happen.”

Isaiah 60:22

Meet Rebekah

…and Barley.

Nearly 11 years ago, after blindly moving to Charlotte, NC on a whisper from the Lord, I found myself lying in bed calculating how much money I had in my bank account, wondering if I could start my own business.

Have you ever found yourself there? “Lord I have the dream - but I don’t have the finances?”

I went to church the next morning and the pastor spoke on what keeps us from ever leaving our bubbles: Calculation, Comfort - (and there was a third I don’t remember, but those two were enough to smack me out of dreamland and into action.) I quit my job the next day.

Now, stepping into your calling isn’t for the faint of heart. And if I knew how tough the next 5 years were going to be I may never have had the courage to do it. But it IS possible. And holy man, is it fun to watch God show up and do what seems impossible.

About me: I moved out of the city and onto 3 acres of land during COVID. I’ve learned to operate just about any type of saw, built a massive 16x24 garden, rehab mange red foxes that come to my property for help, and hike all over the Blue Ridge Mountains with my pup. I love hosting people at my home, affectionately known as Camp Wisco (former Wisconsin girl here), have a knack for interior design, and make one heck of a charcuterie board.

  • Entrepreneur

In 2014, I founded Alloy Recruiting, a niche recruitment firm, serving small-to mid-size and Fortune 500 manufacturing clients across North America. Millions in billings and still the only specialized welding engineering recruitment firm in the country.

  • Global Impact

Was awarded the Boren Fellowship in 2010 and spent the better part of 2 years, living in Tanzania, learning the language, working with local nonprofits and launching regional projects like a school "hot lunch program" for under-served kids in rural schools.

  • Education

    BS Economics and English

    St Norbert College

    Graduate Certificate Nonprofit Management

    MS Political Science/Foreign Policy

    UW Milwaukee - Wisconsin

  • Volunteer Work

From fundraising, to program management, to political campaigns, I have volunteered in a variety of nonprofit capacities and learned from some of the best initiatives and biggest mistakes.

How can I help?

Share your dream

It all begins with that dream you know the Lord gave you. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a calling into a ministry. Maybe you simply want to break into a new sphere of influence.

Have you told anyone? Do you have a trusted group who can cheer you on?

Habakkuk 2:2 “Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.”

Build an action plan

It can be downright paralyzing holding onto a dream, but not knowing where to start.

Solomon says in Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish Your plans.”

Find support in the birthing

I have a deep desire to see brothers and sisters in the Kingdom THRIVE in their callings. Cheerleaders are great - but I am all about practical steps and follow-thru.

When you leave a bootcamp, plans in hand, our journey won’t end. I - and the others you meet on their own journeys - will be there in the aftermath for accountability, troubleshooting…and yes, also cheerleading!

You don’t have to do this alone - but you DO have to decide you are going to DO it.

Deuteronomy 1:8 “See I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land…”
